WELCOME

TO THE METHODIST CHURCH IN SITTINGBOURNE

We are a community of just ordinary people from all walks of life meeting together to explore how the Christian faith can change lives.

We are based in the centre of Sittingbourne and often referred to as 'the church in the garden as our entrance leads down an attractive pathway off of the towns High Street.

We have a passion for Jesus and seek to discover how he can work in our lives and in the world.

There has been a worshiping community on this site since the late 1800's. We continue to faithfully worship God as past generations have done with a mix of contemporary and traditional Christian worship.

If you want to know more do browse this website and if you feel called to please do come and see us, you can be assured of a warm welcome.

PRAYER, WORSHIP & JC CLUB

Prayer is an important, probably the most important, part of being a Christian and plays a central part in our worship on Sunday mornings, and in the various groups that meet throughout the week.

Worship is an expression of our love for God. But, prayer refers to talking with God about our concerns for the world, it's people and ourselves. Our Sunday worship is very varied, it can be led by Robert our minister or local preachers and worship leaders.

JC Club is our junior church and we cater for ages from four to teenagers. There are also crèche facilities for parents and children younger than four.

We finish our Sunday worship with tea and coffee for a time of fellowship, which is held in the church lounge.

INSPIRATION

There are many inspirational videos online, here is a small selection that are aimed at children and adults.

What's in the Bible - The gospels

The Dentist - Do you really believe?

Flipping Tables - Sarah from God in real life tells us why the table flipping that Jesus did in the temple wasn't the most important thing that happened that day.
